NOT only has the team at Haslop & Mason been known as a premium supplier of electrical components to the automotive and manufacturing sectors since 1958, but we are recognised as having customer care as a core value.
We pride ourselves on meeting their needs, particularly in terms of supplying hands-on training opportunities.
Our training is often facilitated by our long-term supplier partner experts at global automation and information technology brand Rockwell Automation.
Dewald le Roux, business manager at Haslop & Mason, says: “Face-to-face meetings of staff and customers offer enhanced training benefits because they allow for hands-on workshops using simulators, which give the customers a real-feel experience and customer-specific applications.
“Such training hones their skills and boosts their confidence in using the products on which they have been trained. Interaction and direct discussion with the suppliers/trainers resolve faults, focus on programming and result in new designs according to customer specifications.
“We have used online training most effectively over the past two years, but face-to-face interaction is dedicated, faster and has a higher rate of knowledge transfer.”
The most recent training session facilitated by Haslop & Mason entailed a two-day workshop run by Ulrich Arlt, EMEA business manager Motion Control for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Jamie Kastor, technology consultant.
Their training comprised an overview of the motion products from Rockwell Automation in addition to giving customers and staff a deeper insight into the latest products released: The K5100 (a single-axis stand-alone drive) and the K5300 (CIP motion entry point drive).
Typically, the customers who would attend a workshop of this practical nature are system integrators, automotive manufacturers and OEM original equipment manufacturers.
One such customer was Jacob Abraham from Bran Systems, who are involved in IT and automation solutions. Jacob says: “Product training is very useful in our business so that we can keep abreast of developments in technology. It gives us an appreciation of the Rockwell Automation products and the latest technology to apply to our solutions.”
Another customer, Brandon Immelman from Dűrr SA, is part of an international mechanical and plant engineering group that provides support and project solutions, specifically to a large portion of the automotive industry. Brandon said: “We offer turnkey solutions and concepts to a wide range of plant processes from gluing stations and painting applications to filling equipment and more.
Brandon believes: “The Haslop & Mason – Rockwell Automation training offered greater insights into the more technical side of motion technology and how it can be implemented practically, thanks especially to the lab session using the demo module.
“The training provided better knowledge about existing and future motion technology that may benefit upcoming Dűrr projects and offers more flexibility during component selection.”
The Haslop & Mason method of excellent service and customer care through the provision of expert training together with our partner suppliers is a winning recipe – one which we will continue to implement.
