Since 1958, Haslop & Mason has had a two-fold purpose; to supply quality electrical components to industry, and to ensure that the products we sell are understood and operated correctly.

Automated systems are constantly evolving. Keeping our customers abreast of the changes requires that our staff are highly trained and technically competent.

Recently, Haslop & Mason went one step further in appointing a Technical Account Manager to provide the high level of technical support our customers deserve.

We could not have made a better choice than Nobel Mandaza, who has a qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering: Instrumentation and Control Systems from the Engineering Institute of Technology, Australia, and a BTech Engineering: Process Instrumentation from Unisa. He is also currently enrolled at the Institute for Data, Systems and Society, part of the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His specific focus here is data science and machine learning.

Nobel’s combination of education and experience in digital and automated systems makes him the ideal person to assist customers in their design of systems and selection of components.

Says managing member Kevin Dersley: “Nobel’s extensive engineering background gives him a deep understanding of customers’ requirements. This, combined with our sales experience, gives our customers the high level of technical support they need to make optimum choices.”

Nobel, who hails from Zimbabwe, says that he is a strong believer in continuous professional development through research and collaboration.

“I would say I have developed a multi-dimensional skillset. I have experience in systems integration, industrial plant maintenance and automation. As Technical Account Manager, I’ll be providing technical support to our own staff, ensuring that they are up to speed on the latest technologies, and to partnered customers, ensuring that they receive quality service and sustainable solutions. I also intend to generate new business opportunities.”

Of particular value to our customers is Nobel’s extensive knowledge of Rockwell automation products and systems, which he has applied across various disciplines – software solutions, industrial/process automation control, industrial networks, cyber security, safety solutions, analytics and digital transformation.
